A wife and mother of a tribe of girls, Marisa has worked in ministry for 20 years. She was first called to prayer ministry and then accepted the call to women's ministry also. She began hosting Bible studies and prayer gatherings in her home. Marisa has always been a mentor and has discipled women in her life. God has had a unique way of highlighting the women she is to connect, encourage, and journey with.

 

Several years after graduating from college Marisa considered going back to school to become a midwife. She found that the prerequisites would be too much and that's when God reordered her steps. He revealed to her that she was a Spiritual Midwife for women. Her call was to help encourage and push women into their destiny and through times of hardship; just as the Holy Spirit had done for her in a dark moment of her life when He ministered Isaiah 61:3. Marisa then went to seminary and obtained her Master's in Theological studies in order to properly prepare for the teaching and guiding in God's Word that was before her.

 

Hence, the seed was planted for Crown of Beauty Ministries.
